WHAT IS The Textile Series?
The Textile Series is a micro-press founded in 2011 and edited by Dawn Pendergast. It is an outcropping of the Little Red Leaves journal.
WHAT IS LITTLE RED LEAVES?
Little Red Leaves (LRL) is a collectively edited online journal of poetry. It began in 2005 by Julia Drescher and C.J. Martin. The Textile Series and LRL E-Editions are outcroppings of conversations that began in the submissions pile for the journal.
WHO MAKES THE BOOKS?
The majority of the design and production is completed by Dawn Pendergast.
DO YOU TAKE UNSOLICITED MANUSCRIPTS?
Yes! Please check our submissions page.
WHO READS SUBMISSIONS?
All submissions are read by at least three different blind readers. This group rotates from year to year.
DO YOU PUBLISH FULL LENGTH MANUSCRIPTS?
Not right now. LRL E-Editions publishes full length books.
HOW CAN I HELP?
We do accept donations, though they aren't tax deductible. You can also help us by asking your institutional or public library to carry our chapbooks!
Do you send free teaching copies?
Not completely free. If you are interested in teaching one of our chaps, we are happy to send a copy to you for the price of shipping. Please contact us to request a copy. We also accept order from university bookstores. Please fill out our order form to request copies for a class.
Are you hiring?
We are a very small press with very limited revenue. We do occasionally hire seasonal craftspeople to help us sew book covers. If you are a crafty person in the Houston area and would like to help sew books, please contact us.
