In this chapbook, Holden explores sublimation as snow turning into air and the psychoanalytical concept particularly at it relates to queerness strategies, ie  "channeling their repression into the glinting (snow)".

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

KEVIN HOLDEN is a poet, critic, and translator. He is the author of fi ve books of poetry, including SOLAR, which won the 2014 Fence Modern Poets Prize, and BIRCH, which won the 2014 Ahsahta Press Chapbook Prize. His translations of poetry from French, German, and Russian have also been published, most recently in Double Change, Pyramid, and Aufgabe. He works also on ontology, modern art, and queer theory. He has taught at Bard College, in a very informal capacity. He is also an activist and cares a great deal about trees.
